Round Hill Pines

At Marla Bay on Round Mound is a 1/2 mile of sandy beach known as Round Hill Pines. Home of Tahoe Bleu Wave, H20 Watersports, & Lakeside Bar & Grill. You can try your luck with tennis or take a dip in the heated pool. The pier would be an ideal place for jumping into the lake if it weren't so strictly forbidden. This is also a great place to watch the sunsets. Some summer evenings there is even live music during the sunset.

Parking - $7

Dogs - No

BarBQ - Limited

Zephyr Cove

Zephyr Cove has over a mile of sand & the region's best volleyball, 500+ passenger vessel, 36 passenger catamaran, huge grassy group event area, every kind of water sport rental you could imagine, & the Sunset Bar overlooking it all with cocktail servers roaming the beach. The beach does have a certain party atmosphere that some families may find offensive. This can usually be avoided just by staying a distance from the bar area. There is plenty of room. There is a $8 parking fee but it often becomes unavailable. When this happens they will park you at the high school across Hwy 50 and shuttle you to the beach. Zephyr Cove also has a modern campground, lodging, beachfront cabins, stables, the largest snowmobile operation west of the rockies.

Head East on Highway 50 towards Carson City.  It is about 4 miles from Stateline to the entrance.

Dogs - No, although they are common at the far northeast end of the beach.

BarBQ - Yes

Fee - Parking $8 or yearly pass. You can avoid paying, but it means a walk or shuttle ride in.

Alcohol is allowed on the beach. Glass is not. Please clean up after yourself.
